Family Holiday (day 11)

Travel day. We left Nepal and flew into New Delhi. My crochet hook set was confiscated at security and we were frisked more times than I can count before the flight, but the airport in New Deli was impressively nice. We hired a van to the neighborhood where we were renting the house. No cars are allowed in the “village” so we unloaded and had to walk with our bags…it was an adventure. Just at the verge of our patience, we found the place and were warmly welcomed with flowers, treats and cold water (we really needed that cold water). The rest of the day we mostly chilled in front of the electronic babysitter, and tried to get the internet connection to work. Then dinner was at another roof top café…but this one had an elevator. We enjoyed authentic Indian cooking, consisting of pizza, tuna focaccia sandwich, burger bruschetta sandwiches, and bratwurst with cabbage and beetroots.
