Science at the Zoo
In science, we have been learning about animals, so Friday, I decided to take them to the Zoo. We saw a mix of Asian and African animals, most of which we had not seen before (at least not at this zoo). We talked about and looked for clues that would tell us if each animal was a carnivore, herbivore, or omnivore. We also discussed whether each animal was diurnal, nocturnal, common, rare, threatened, or endangered. We touched briefly on each animal's environment as well. The favorite animals from this trip were the elephants and the Komodo dragon. After 3 hours, everyone was tired and ready to meet Daddy for pizza...mmmmm, and garlic rolls.
