Flat Princess

A "Flat Princess" graced us with a visit, thanks to our dear friend Kaitlyn. Jael, Tekla, Saoirse and Mordecai welcomed her with open arms. Well, we didn't really let her get too close to Cai's arms as he isn't very gentile with flat people yet. On Sunday (Mother's Day) we went for a day in the Florida Keys. We found a beach and played for a while in the hot sun and sand. The water was hot close to the beach but cooled off a little ways out. We could walk a long ways before it got above our hips. There were not many waves and the water was so clear we could see crabs and fish and we picked up several seashells. Then we cooled off at the Dive Museum where we learned all about the history of ocean diving. We even got to climb into a diving bell. The next couple days Jael had first grade testing and then we finished the week with more with more home school days. We really enjoyed our visitor and perhaps we will do our own flat people project when we get back from our Summer vacation!
