Starting Soccer

Jael and Tekla have now started soccer (aka magnet ball). Actually, they have now had 2 games each and already showing improvement. Tekla has be showing great defense in kicking the ball away when it gets near the net and does a lot of her team's "kick ins". (At this level on this league they kick-in instead of throw-in to avoid the confusion of not using hands)
Jael is learning to be aggressive and go after the ball. She is doing a lot of running and giving a great effort.
I am a little surprised that neither girls' team seems to have any flower pickers during the games :)
In this league they play 4 on 4, half field, and no goalies. They sub players every 3 or 6 minutes so everyone gets plenty of play time. The goal at this point is more instruction and learning about the game than actual competition. So far they are loving it. The only thing that would be better is if their practices were on the same evening, but that would be too easy wouldn't it. :)
