A happy 4th of July party in the middle east

What do you get when a bunch of Americans gather in Kuwait on the Fouth of July? Camel rides, slippery water soccer, giant inflateable slide, bouncy house, cotton candy, buffet, cake and loud music....and lots of people feeling festive. After the sun went down it dropped to 110F and it almost felt cool! Jae spent most of the time playing soccer with some rough playing boys. She was determined to show them that she was tough and not a quitter. From what I was told she held her own well. The big slide is always a hit. We got there early enough to get a few slides in before the crowds arrived. Then we had to slide many more times with friends. The camel rides were a hit, but the camel standing up and sitting down was a little concerning (both for the rider and the parent watching) but no one fell off. More sliding and fun, this time with a new hat. And SUGAR! As evening approached, it cooled off a little and the pictures didn't turn out as well. By the time we left, everyone was tired and ready for bed. It had been a good 4th.
