2 down, a bunch more to go

I managed to get 2 rooms unpacked and set up to use so far. They happen to be the play room and school room, and just in time to start schooling tomorrow.

As you can see, there is still alot to be done in the rest of the house, but I'm makeing progress!

There's no place like home...even if you haven't fully unpacked

We are here, as is all our "stuff". Thanks to Daddy and Jael we have several random pictures of the day. Just as the movers arrived, Daddy and the 3 girls left to do some shopping to make up the difference between having 2 bathrooms and 5 bathrooms. Surley this will make potty-training easier, right? Then after bringing lunch back, and eating out by the pool, they headed out again. This time Daddy took them out to the Everglades to see if there were any alligators lurking about...they found one. They also stopped at the nature center and learned about other wildlife in the area. Jael has shown alot of intrest in birds and other animals since we got here so Daddy agreed to get her a reference book on Florida wildlife and another on birds. On the way home she practiced looking up birds in the index, finding the page and then reading all about them. All this time Mommy and Cai hung out with the movers.

Now for some random pictures from the day. (The vaccum was left here by the owner...the girls thought it was sooooo neat.)

Biscayne Beach - Life is a beach.

Yesterday, we decided to actually go play at the beach. After a quick stop at the house to talk to the landlord, we set out for Key Biscayne. We got there early enough to rent an umbrella and 2 chairs so Cai had some nice shade. The girls had a grand time playing in the sand and wading in the water. The water was nice and warm and the breeze made the hot day bearable for those who weren't in the water. The girls even were able to see some fish and walk along the surf watching them swim around.

Oh, and shot of the front of the house through the car windsheild.
